Duke / Virginia Under 46.5 2.2% play

I’m taking the under in this game, as both coaches are defensive minded coaches that have strengths on the defensive side of the ball.  Duke after 2 games have a 28.8% success rate, which is not very good, and Coach Cutcliffe is on record saying he has to put Chase Brice in better spots on offense, which to me means running the ball more.  Cutcliffe did take over play calling duties, and wants to run more, and has an NFL caliber RB.

Virginia loses their star QB Bryce Perkins who would often bail this offense out on third downs with his legs.  Duke’s defense has played rather well through the first two games against BC and Notre Dame, and I expect a low scoring game.  I expect a rather conservative game plan from Bronco Mendenhall.
